The dukes residence in Bakewell: Chatsworth House

Posted 1 year ago by adonis in response to avatar felicity8's question: What should I expect to see inside the duke and duchess residence in Bakewell? Do they have famous paintings? (give a different answer) .

Well, I guess the 300 rooms can't be empty. I didn't visit it, but I wrote a small school assignment about this 17th century Baroque palace, and I promised myself to see it one day. Paintings of Tintoretto, Veronese and Rembrandt decorate the walls as far as I know, and present dukes keep adding to the collection. There's a cascade house inside, with artificial wall waterfalls, and some 100 acres of gardens.
