Bath, a fashionable spa inherited from the Romans

Posted 1 year ago by michele in response to avatar abdul's question: Is Bath among the best spa towns in England? I only want to invest into the best :) (give a different answer) .

Yes, it's ranked as the first spa in England, but most people don't come here for the hot springs- they are more attracted by the relaxed and prosperous atmosphere of the city, which seems perfect for antiquing and shopping. Queen Anne reinforced the therapeutic powers of the town around 1700, so you can savor the Roman Baths or the 16th century Abbey Baths. What I found fabulous was The Circus, a complex of 33 houses forming a circle and resembling the Colosseum.
