I'm not sure you know this but Birmingham is famous for its jewelry industry, so you should definitely go to the Jewelry Quarter to see all the showrooms and manufacturers. You can take a TIC free guide to the area, giving you a lot of information about the industry. This district is NE of the centre so to get there take bus no 101 or the metro from Snow Hill.
