The Canterbury cathedral

Posted 1 year ago by adonis in response to avatar gabrielle's question: What is the cathedral in Canterbury famous for? Thank you for the patience (give a different answer) .

Don't you know? The stained-glass windows are its biggest attraction, dating back to 12 and 13th century. When the city was almost destroyed by WW II, locals replaced the original windows with some usual glass. Although these safekeeping copies were torn to pieces in 1942, the cathedral remained miraculously untouched and today the stained-glass is back in its place. The most beautiful are Great West Window, Bible Window and Miracle Window. Rush to the Precincts, 11!
