I don't know if it's exactly fun, but you can take a short trip and follow the mountain route from Douglas which will take you near the highest point on the island: Snaefell (621m- don't go up if you're afraid of heights!!!!!). It's very easy to reach the summit or, if you're a more lazy person, you can go up by the electric tram which you take from Laxey.
