For me it surely was but yet again I am fascinated with history and castles and all these things. Anyway, the castle is the city's landmark so, to understand Edinburgh, the castle is a must. There's plenty to see inside like the Mons Meg, The Palace, the Stone of Destiny or the Great Hall. You can also check out the National War Museum which is included in the price.
