I don't like geography too much (at school these classes seem endless to me). But when my mum took me to Our Dynamic Earth museum it was so easy and funny to understand so many things about our the history of our planet. I recommend it to every kid of my age (oh... I'm 10 years old). This museum is on Holyrood Rd & can be visited daily.
