marcel's question:
Why is the castle of Edinburgh cherished sooooo much? thanks for the explanations(give a different answer) .
Probably because the Scottish crown jewels are hosted there, along with the Scottish scepter and sword of state. The castle had many purposes during the centuries, starting with a fortress, military garrison, state prison and ending with a royal palace. it's a medieval palace, set on a collapsed volcano crater no longer active. Run to the Castlehill!
