I know there's a ferry to Douglas from Liverpool (or, if you're in Ireland, from Dublin); you can either take the car ferry or the high-speed Sea Cat catamaran. If you're travelling without car, the prices are from ₤28 but if you're taking your car it's more than ₤85 (so you might as well fly there and rent a car, it can be cheaper).
