Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye

Posted 1 year ago by avatar djdan in response to avatar claire's question: A friend told me that there are some castles on the Isle of Skye that I can visit but I don't know which one to choose (I'll be there only 1 day). Any advice? (give a different answer) .

I accidentally came across the Dunvegan Castle an I stepped in to visit (out of curiosity). It was originally built in the 13th century and inside there are photos, portraits and things of MacLeod; the gardens are a lovely place to walk and relax. This castle is in the west of the Waternish Peninsula. It's the only castle I saw on the island.
