jewel's question:
How can I reach the Skye island on the northwest coast of Scotland? I feel the need to go on my own somewhere and allow nobody to disturb me......(give a different answer) .
I'm sorry you're so melancholic, pal, but Skye might add to your misery...it's wet and windy, making you feel like at the edge of the world. Famous for its wool and tweed, it's the biggest island in the Inner Hebrides. if you stick to your decision, follow the Skye Bridge that links the island with Kyle of Lochalsh on the mainland. Or, you can take the ferry from Fort William and experience the 45 mile "Road of the Isles".
