If you're interested in music events, you should visit London in July. You have the City of London Festival, when there are concerts, dance and theatre performances over a two week period. The Greenwich & Docklands International Festival has free outdoor performances every weekend in July. There's also the Respect Festival, when you can go to a lot of concerts, dance shows and other activities for free.
