gossiper's question:
what's so special about the changing of the guard in London? people say it's a "must see" and friends of mine asked me to bring them photos with the men in red uniforms when they had found out I'm going to London for a few days...(give a different answer) .
Actually I believe the idea of it is much more fun than the actual experience :)even the official name for the ceremony (Guard Mounting) sounds more interesting... It's not that special: the old guard (Foot Guards of the Household Regiment) comes off duty to be replaced by the new guard of the Buckingham Palace, but tourists get usually easily impressed by the hole ritual. see for yourself while in London, just out of curiosity.
