Ryanair flies to Stansted airport, which is somehow further away from the city (about 35 miles). There are also other discount airlines using this airport, not only ryanair. If you want to know more maybe you should check the airport's site which (the last time I checked) was www.baa.co.uk/stansted. Maybe they have a phone where you ca call.
