The cathedral of Salisbury

Posted 1 year ago by adonis in response to sakis's question: What architectural style does the Salisbury cathedral display? I'm making a research on the churches in Europe and that's very relevant. (give a different answer) .

It's a Gothic pointed style, I mean all the towers and roof endings are sharp. Actually, the cathedral shows a 404 feet spire, and at the time it was built, in 1220, it was the tallest in the world. The cathedral was completed quickly for such a majestic construction, in 30 years, and that explains the harmonious stylistic union. There's no tax at the gates, but a donation is recommended, and you can climb the spire's steps to admire the city.
