Who did the Blenheim Palace from Woodstock belong to? These English have countless palaces and I find it interesting to learn their story...(give a different answer) .
The palace was a gift for John Churchill from Queen Anne, after he managed to defeat the French in 1704. The Baroque palace is England's answer to Versailles, and this is where Winston Churchill was born in 1874. Set on the former hunting grounds of Saxon Kings, it occupies some 2000 acres, available for visits daily from mid March to October.
